Both New York State Charter School Authorizers require prospective new schools to include a complete set of Policies and Procedures.

Admissions Policy; Discipline Policy, Special Education Provisions; Food Service Policy; Health Service Policy; FOIL Policy; and Dissolution Policy.Additionally, in 2013, New York State enacted the Non-Profit Revitalization Act of 2013, a bill undertaking the first major overhaul of New York’s nonprofit laws in more than 40 years.
