CSE and Compliance

The first half of the presentation covers the NYC Committee on Special Education (CSE), including the structure and function of the CSE, roles and responsibilities of the CSE and the charter school, and best practices for working with the CSE.

Immunization

School Immunization Requirements is a presentation from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene outlining proper procedure and protocols for ensuring that charter school immunization requirements are met according to the law.  Topics covered include the Certificate of Immunization, requirements by grade level, and immunization exemptions.

Family Handbook Guidelines

 A family handbook provides charter school families with answers to their most common questions and helps to avoid unnecessary calls to the school. This guidebook, created by the New York City Charter School Center, is a brief guide to the purpose, timing, and typical contents of a Family Handbook.
