School Safety Plans: Guidance
The Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Act of 2000 established the foundation for schools to create safer school environments. One of the requirements of SAVE is that school districts develop, review, and regularly update school safety plans at the district and building level. This guide developed jointly by the State University of New York (SUNY) and the State Education Department (SED) helps Charter Schools achieve compliance.
