Principal Support Network (PSN)

Print

The New York City Charter School Center's Principal Support Network (PSN) is a comprehensive year long leadership development program that builds personal leadership skills and the leadership capacity of schools.

The program applies the Adaptive Leadership model to equip principals with the tools and tactics to more effectively diagnose and address challenges that arise in their schools.

How Does PSN Work?

The program uses participant case studies, guided reflections, small group work, and individualized consultations.  Participants commit to:

  • Five, full-day Adaptive Leadership workshops throughout the year with the entire group
  • Monthly, two-hour small group sessions with a leadershop and organizational change consultant
  • Monthly, individual phone consultations with a leadership and organizational change consultant

How Does a Principal Join PSN?

The program is open to all current charter school principals or major school decision makers.  Cohort size is limited to 24 participants annually.  Due to an overwhelming response, the Charter Center will not be accepting any more PSN interest forms for the 2010-2011 cohort.
