TOMORROW: 40 CHARTER MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOLS AND NETWORKS OFFER NYC FAMILIES AN OPTION AT NEW CHARTER SCHOOL FAIR
Free Community Event Gives Parents More Information on Public Charter Middle & High Schools Citywide
(New York, NY) – This Saturday, December 9, the New York City Charter School Center will host its first Charter Middle and High School Fair for New York City parents, in partnership with Broome Street Academy Charter High School. As families continue the NYC DOE middle and high school choice process, this event will give families a chance to learn more about their children’s educational options for the 2018-19 school year.
Representatives from 40 charter schools from four boroughs – independent and CMOs, alike – will be on site to speak about their offerings with prospective students and parents. Attendees will be able to apply to multiple charters across the city in person with school representatives or online.
The Common Online Charter School Application, available in 10 languages, also launched one month early this year to better align with the NYC DOE timeline. It is currently on track to garner a record number of applicants for the upcoming school year.
